Why Go Tankless in South Pasadena?
South Pasadena is full of historic Craftsman and Spanish-style homes where space is tight and the water heater often sits in a small closet or a detached garage. A wall-mounted tankless unit frees up that space and ends running out of hot water, but older homes usually need careful venting and a gas line check before the switch. We handle both so the install is clean, safe, and up to code.
A tankless water heater heats water on demand, only when you turn on the tap. There's no 40 or 50-gallon tank burning gas around the clock, which means lower utility bills, more usable space, and hot water that doesn't run out mid-shower. A quality tankless unit lasts 20+ years compared to the 8 to 12 years of a traditional tank. Already have one that's acting up? We repair Navien, Rinnai, Noritz, and Rheem units too.
Save Up to $1,500 with SoCal Gas Rebates
Homeowners replacing an old tank water heater with a qualifying tankless system may be eligible for SoCal Gas rebates of up to $1,500. Combined with our $500 new customer discount, that's significant savings on a long-term upgrade that will pay for itself in energy savings over time. We handle the install correctly the first time, with all the documentation you need to qualify for the rebate. Ask us about current rebate eligibility when we come out for your free estimate.
Trusted Brands We Install
We install and service the leading tankless water heater brands, including Navien, Rinnai, Rheem, and Noritz. Each brand has its own strengths — Navien is known for its high-efficiency condensing units and excellent recirculation features, Rinnai offers some of the most reliable mid-range units on the market, Rheem is a widely available, budget-friendly option that many homeowners are already familiar with, and Noritz produces durable, no-frills units built to last. During your free estimate, we'll walk through which system makes the most sense for your home, your hot water demand, and your budget.

What To Expect
Every tankless installation starts with a free in-home assessment. We evaluate your existing water heater setup, gas line capacity, venting requirements, and hot water demand to recommend the right system for your home. Once you approve the estimate, we schedule the install — most jobs take a single day. We pull the necessary permits, install the new unit to code with proper gas, water, and venting connections, test the system thoroughly, and walk you through how to operate and maintain it. You're left with endless hot water, all the rebate paperwork in hand, and our workmanship warranty backing the install.

Frequently Asked Questions

It depends on the unit, your home’s gas line and venting, and whether you’re repairing an existing tankless or replacing a tank. Repairs are quoted after we diagnose the problem. For installs, we do a free in-home assessment and give you a flat-rate estimate with no surprises, and qualifying installs may be eligible for SoCal Gas rebates of up to $1,500 plus our $500 new customer discount.
-
Most standard tankless water heater installations are completed in a single day. If your home needs gas line upgrades, electrical work, or additional venting, the job may take longer — we'll let you know upfront during the estimate.
-
Yes. Tankless units are 24-34% more energy efficient than traditional tank water heaters because they only heat water when you actually use it. Most homeowners see noticeable savings on their gas bill within the first few months, and the long lifespan of the unit (20+ years) makes it one of the most cost-effective home upgrades over time.
-
We install qualifying systems correctly and provide all the documentation you need to submit your rebate. The rebate itself is filed directly by the homeowner on the SoCal Gas website — we'll walk you through the process.

It depends on your home and budget. For most homes, we recommend Navien because of its efficiency, reliability, and excellent warranty. Rinnai and Noritz are also strong choices for homeowners who want long-lasting, mid-range to premium options. Rheem is the most budget-friendly option and a popular choice for homeowners who already have a Rheem tank and want to stick with the brand they know. We carry and install all four, and we'll make a specific recommendation during your free estimate based on your hot water needs, gas line capacity, and budget.
